Version 8 of the Dax AutoTrader is a complete revision of the trading system. It includes numerous enhancements and novelties:

1. Trend following strategies upgrade
2. Money management improvement

1. Trend following strategies upgrade

The trend-following strategies had been wholly upgraded. They better reproduce the Dax index curve and strongly increase the profit expectation.

 

2. Money management improvement

You can precisely define the capital that the trading system will use. The system will automatically compute the number of contracts by entry. That allows you to control the risk exposition, whatever the indices’ price. Employing a fixed quantity of capital reduces the equity curve volatility.

 

3. Simplification of the setting

The system’s configuration has been enormously simplified. You must select the trading mode and define the capital and the number of entries by day. The strategy selector is already configured, but you can activate or unactivate a trading strategy.

 

4. Addition of a swing trading mode

The swing trading mode allows an open entry to be held after the market closure. The position will be kept until the target or the stoploss. That increases the gain expectation but the risk of losses, too. You will have the option to close the opened entries automatically on Friday evening.

 

5. Implementation of two new strategies

The system implements two new trading strategies: the range and highest bullish breakouts. These strategies are more volatile but increase the trading system’s profit expectation.

 

6. Exit conditions upgrade

The closing conditions of entries have been consistently improved. The system implements more than twenty exit conditions, which increases the strategy’s success rate and maintains the profit expectations.

 

7. Documentation updating

The documentation describes the novelties of Dax AutoTrader’s new version. The new parameters are presented and explained, so you can easily adapt the trading system to your needs. In addition, I integrated several examples of configurations you can use.
